Pregnant Woman Expects Husband to Buy Her a New Car as ‘Push Present’ For Giving Birth, He Refuses, Causing Tension in the Relationship

Welcome back ladies and gentlemen of the internet. In this day and age, everything seems crazy and everything seems legitimate at the same time. With so many differing views it's no wonder people can't seem to get along. It's not even that people have differing views, it's that ideologies about anything have become so internalized and personalized to the point that the person really thinks it's the hill they'll croak on before they let it go and hear the other side. People need to detach themselves from silly ideas, that's just my opinion. 

Besides that, this Reddit thread centers around a married couple who are on their way to having their first child. The woman informs her husband that she expects a 'push present,' meaning a hefty present or symbol to represent the appreciation he has for her putting her body in such pain. Her push present: a new car, one that he needs to dip into his savings to afford.

    I felt that those expectations are very entitled, honestly a little vindictive, envious (permanent tattoo part) and very over the top for my taste. The decision to bring a child in the world is both partner's decision. My wife in our case is not forced to be a mom or be pregnant, as she wants to be a parent too.
